If you want to build the perfect Minecraft castle to suit your aesthetic, you’ve come to the right place.
You already know how to craft a basic house to keep away unfriendly mobs during the night. Now that you’re a master at creating such houses, why not try building some awesome Minecraft castles?
In this list, you’ll find a wide variety of castles as well as their construction videos to give you an idea of how to tackle your new project.
So without wasting any more time, here are the best Minecraft castle ideas for you to try out.
1 – Simple Minecraft Castle
If you’re starting out, this simple construction by YouTuber Gorillo is a pretty easy yet awesome build to try out.
I do love any castle build that isn’t a tiring endgame project. It’s gives me something to try out in Survival mode that isn’t a boring old house.
The video tutorial features the detailed process for erecting this structure complete with a horse stable, block by block.
Not only is it great for staying safe during the night, but it’s also visually stunning, which makes it a delight to create.
SEE: How Can I Teleport To Coordinates In Minecraft
This easy Minecraft build features a combination of stone bricks and wood that gives it a distinct look. And as a perfect cherry on top, it even has a hoisted flag.
2 – Fairy-Tale Castle
This fairy-tale castle would sit really pretty in the center of your medieval village.
The build flaunts a whimsical mix of lookout towers topped with deepslate roofs supported on diorite pillars. The walls of the fortress are made with stone bricks crafted from cobblestone blocks.
It might seem like an intimidating build if you’ve never crafted a big structure like this in Minecraft. But its size doesn’t even comes close to some of the massive castles further down this list.
3 – Minecraft | Small Castle with Moat
If you’re looking for something smaller that you can make with fewer resources in the game’s Survival mode, go for this small castle by Balzy.
It can be built mostly with stone and cobblestone blocks, though it also needs a good amount of spruce blocks.

This small Minecraft castle has a medieval look to it, with its properly fortified build that includes a wide moat.
The colorful banners on its walls enhance the appearance even more. You could go for some interesting banner designs instead of hanging up plain colored ones though.
4 – Cherry Blossom Minecraft Castle
I cannot get over how detailed and pretty this pink Minecraft cherry blossom castle is!
Its exterior is made mostly with items crafted from cherry logs, birch logs and stone blocks, in order to lend it a perfect combination of pinks and grays with a touch of brown.
The YouTube video by Enchanted.Architecture is a speed build. It offers a look at the interior and exterior design of the castle.
If you slow it down and watch it, you will get a good idea of how to build one for yourself.
5 – Castle with Tower
For a castle that’s somewhere between small to mid-size, here’s a simple build idea which requires stone bricks in large quantities.
Since stone bricks are acquired by smelting and crafting cobblestone, there’s no short supply of the base material.
Hoisted atop the central tower is a red flag made out of dyed wool. The windows are barred by iron rods.
The video tutorial is very easy to follow since the fortress is spread out over a basic square shaped patch of land.
6 – Easy Minecraft Castle
This one’s another easy-to-make base that is more of a Gothic build than a medieval one.
It doesn’t show off the typical fortifications you’d find in a medieval castle. It also has nice stag banners hanging from its rampart.
The castle uses deepslate, cobblestone, calcite and wood for its primary construction.

You might want to switch out the calcite for the more blast resistant white concrete instead.
Created by user Zaypixel, you can check out the YouTube tutorial video to build one for yourself.
7 – Feudal Lord’s Castle
Now if you’d prefer something more ambitious, here’s a mid-size castle fit for a feudal lord.
It’s a rather ambitious build that would be easier to create with friends who are equally patient.
The creator, JINTUBE, has fitted into the castle blueprints all the elements you’d expect of such a structure.
It has a keep, library, prison, smithy, stable, well, guard towers, main residence, mead hall, barracks and more.
8 – Castle-like Survival Base
For those of you who want a base that has the looks of a castle, here’s a build to satisfy your craving.
It’s more like a stone house with a stable. Its architecture is somewhat reminiscent of medieval fortresses, though it carries none of the typical elements required to classify it as a thoroughbred castle.
The building does contain a guard tower of sorts to keep an eye out for marauding mobs.
Check out the video above by NeatCraft to build this base for yourself.
9 – Small Medieval Castle
If you want a small, self-sustaining base that’s truly fortified from unfriendly mobs, take a look at this neat little build by One Team.
It comes complete with agricultural and gardening patches on the rooftop so that you can grow food without leaving the comfort of your base.
Pull up the drawbridge made of trapdoors at night, and you’ll never have to worry about mobs creeping into your fortress.
The windows are barred with iron rods and there are four lookout posts to espy any approaching hordes (not that it will be necessary here).
10 – Fantasy Castle Build
How would you like to try your hand at a fantasy medieval base that resembles a castle?
Check out this awesome and slightly messy-looking structure by ChopChopBuilds which is actually mock medieval (that arguably makes it Gothic).
There’s no tutorial on how to make it. But you can get a good idea of how to build it by slowing down the video a little.
Figuring out the supplies list needed to craft this base is gonna be a time suck. Go for it if you feel up to the challenge!
11 – Fortress House
Here’s a modest Minecraft build for those who want the aesthetics of a castle build, but don’t want to bother with moats and similar fortification features.
It’s a fortress house by YouTuber Keicrowd which uses a variety of blocks and bricks out of mud, cobblestone and andesite, apart from wood.
You will also need the greenish-blue Warped wood from the Nether dimension to lend it unique look.
I like all the charming details of this build from the mossy cobblestone blocks leading up to the main entrance to the chimney puffing away cheerfully in the background.
12 – Aesthetic Minecraft Castle with Moat
Run your eyes over this aesthetic castle build idea by Lex The Builder on YouTube.
It’s a good-looking fortress with a protective moat around it and a sturdy main gate. I like the finishing touch of the red flags flying high above the two turrets sitting on each side of the main building.
If you love the aesthetics of this build as much as I do, check out the how-to video below.
It shows you a list of all the materials you will need to collect in order to erect this structure.
13 – Aesthetic Medieval Castle
Here’s an option by Capy Builds that shares similar aesthetics with the one listed above by Lex The Builder.
It’s a mid-sized build fortified by thick walls and a sturdy main gate. There’s a guard tower to one in order to cover three sides of the fortress for approaching enemies.
What about that one unguarded side? I’m not sure what to tell you. At any rate, this castle looks cool and that’s all I care about.
If you intend to shed some honest sweat over it, check out the tutorial video to help you along.
14 – Small and Easy Survival Castle Build
May I present a cool little castle by YouTuber Gorillo for folks who want a small survival base that functions as a fortress?
As is the case with Minecraft castles, it uses tons of stone as the main construction material. This is a widely available resource in the game.
You won’t have to spend a lot of time acquiring supplies, nor will it take too long to erect the castle itself.
Up for the challenge? Check out the how-to video above.
15 – Purpur Castle
Now apparently, people hate building with Purpur blocks from the End Cities.
It seems like a lot of folks think the purple bricks are an eye sore, especially when they try to mix and match it with other blocks.

So YouTube user Build Guild took it upon themselves to create an epic fantasy build with Obsidian, Weeping Obsidian, End stone and Purpur, just to prove this to be untrue.
The end result is incredible! You can take a look at the video below to see how it was built.
But don’t expect to be able to follow along too easily since it is not exactly a tutorial and merely a speedbuild clip.
16 – Ultimate Survival Castle Base
ItsMarloe promises us that this structure you see above is the ultimate castle base for your Survival world.
It has plenty of storage room, sleeping quarters, furnaces for smelting, a brewing room, animal pens and agricultural land, an enchanting room setup, a nether portal and even room for expansion.
What more could you ask for in a castle build like this, right?
Open a notepad and get ready to jot down the materials list!
17 – Simple Survival Castle
How about a solid stone, no-fuss castle base for your Survival world?
If this sounds as good as it looks, here’s a video tutorial for you by A1MOSTADDICTED MINECRAFT on YouTube.
It uses cobblestone for the main body and it features a squarish footprint. This makes the build extremely easy to construct as well as scale up or down in size.
I would add a moat or some kind of rampart to make it looking more medieval castle-like.
But otherwise, it’s a perfect castle build to take on as a starter base.
18 – Gothic Castle on a Hill
Imagine yourself as the lord of a wild, hilly kingdom surround by ancient forests.
Now run your eyes over this castle perched on a hill and tell me it doesn’t look like a perfect fit.
YouTuber daxar123_builds has posted a detailed tutorial on how you can craft this fortress base for yourself if you’re willing to spend the time and the effort.
I really love the slightly unruly appearance of this build. There’s a pleasing lack of symmetry in just the right places, don’t you think?
19 – Liege Lord’s Castle | Multiplayer Minecraft Castle
Erecting a castle fit for a lord is no mean feat in real life. However, building one for multiplayer games in Minecraft can be quite fun.
Go ahead and check out this detailed, step-by-step tutorial by LionCheater to learn how you and your friends can build a castle worthy of a liege lord.
The structure comes with a large courtyard and turrets. It’s got several inner gates, apart from the main gate as well as the necessary fortifications.
Once you’ve got the exteriors done, you can experiment with the interiors as you wish.
20 – Fortified Outpost
For folks who are not looking build a full-blown castle, but just want to craft a fortified outpost for the aesthetics, here’s a simple option.
This build uses stone bricks and wood in modest amounts. There are two guard towers of different heights attached to the main structure.
There’s also a stable to keep your horse so that you can quickly ride to the nearest village to warn them of incoming marauders.
All in all, it feels like a derelict old outpost that was once part of a larger fortress. I like it a lot. It’s a quick and easy project to tackle.
21 – Purple Fantasy Castle House
I’m not a big fan of houses pretending to be castles, which is why I’m not going to label this as a practical castle. Fine, call me a stickler.
This build by YouTuber, yes im jess, uses calcite which is a fairly weak Minecraft block as its main construction material. This means it offers low protection from mobs like Creepers (not something you’d want from a fortress).
So let’s call this undoubtedly attractive build a fantasy castle house instead.
Check out the tutorial video above to craft this fairycore build for yourself.
22 – Osaka Castle
The city of Osaka is home to one of Japan’s most beautiful tourist structures – the Osaka castle.
Built in the sixteenth century, this eight-story structure is surrounded by a series of moats and defensive fortifications.
There’s no surprise then that someone has recreated the Japanese castle in Minecraft.
The beautiful step-by-step instructions in the video series by Cortezerino will help you create a castle that’s extremely similar to the actual site.
Be aware that this one too will ask for long hours of work from you. And it’ll probably be better to try it out in Creative mode.
23 – Nether Castle
Constructing a castle in the Nether may sound like a dangerous idea, but that’s what makes it so much fun.
So grab some Blackstone bricks and go ahead and construct this fortress in the Nether.
The YouTube video below showcases the exact steps taken by Jermsy to build his base which features Nether wart farms, a chest room and an enchanting room.
In spite of what the video thumbnail depicts, there’s no bedroom of course, since beds explode in the Nether.
This build is scary and exciting in equal parts. It gives you a nice base for shielding yourself from the dangers that lurk down under.
24 – Huge Medieval Castle | Multiplayer Build
Would you and your friends build a castle with a laundry list of supplies that starts with “7525 stone blocks, 4220 stone bricks, 2725 andesite blocks, 3470 polish andesite blocks, 1000 cobblestone blocks”?
That’s just the beginning of the list of materials you will need for this massive castle by YouTuber BlueNerd.
The image above shows a main royal residence standing at the center of this sprawling build. Also housed within the thick walls of this fortress are stables, an archery range, barracks, a smithy, storage areas, a courtyard and much more.
You will only understand the full scope of the project once you watch the first part of the tutorial series posted above.
25 – Island Fortress
Feel like enjoying some alone time on an island? This island fortress by BigTonyMC is just the right style for you.
He explains the process in detail in two videos in case you want to create an island fortress for yourself.
This build also comes with a dock for tying up the boats that you can use to explore new lands.
Before you set out and about though, don’t forget to record your base’s coordinates just so you don’t lose track of where your big island fortress is.
26 – Disney Castle Minecraft Build
For anyone who has watched Disney movies during their childhood days, the Disney castle holds special memories.
The iconic shape of this build, together with the star that shines above it is synonymous with great memories of watching some of the most moving animated films.
You’d be pleased to know that there’s a way you can recreate this structure in Minecraft.
The video tutorial by SmallishBeans is your ticket to making this build a reality in the game.
27 – Medieval Castle with Wizard Tower
YouTuber Stevler spent two weeks perfecting this magnificent Minecraft medieval castle with a wizard tower.
Apart from the king’s residence and wizard tower, it features two defensive towers, a building for housing soldiers, a warehouse and a corral for horses.
Be warned that taking on this project is not for the faint of heart. The entire structure has been made of materials like stone and wood that are easy to find. It’s the sheer number of blocks you need that you should be worried about.
Perhaps it’s better to attempt this ambitious build along with your friends?
28 – Emberheart Castle
What can I say about the Emberheart castle that would do justice to the magnificence of this build?
The sheer amount of time, hard work and dedication that the creator poured into it would humble even the most accomplished of Minecraft builders.
In case you’re wondering what the most needed material in the supplies list is, it’s 32,627 stone bricks.
The rest of the details are mentioned in the tutorial by YouTuber SixWings which consists of two videos, the first running up to 4 hours and the second being over 2 hours long.
I’m happy just being a spectator for the present. But go ahead and try your patience on this build, if you wish to.
29 – Lake Castle
Here’s one more structure that lets you take things offshore if you like living on the water.
The lake castle by daxar123_builds lets you create a relaxing and intimidating fortress directly on a lake.
It has quite a tricky layout and architecture, but with a little hard work, you’ll surely be able to replicate this one.
More importantly, the resources you’ll need to build the structure are fairly basic, which means you can even try creating it in Survival mode.
30 – Diorite Castle
Most people don’t like constructing their bases with diorite because it’s easier to mine for cobblestone and chop down some wood.
But you should definitely give diorite a try seeing how beautiful a castle made from it looks.
Watch this 3-part tutorial by Stevler to find out how you can create the ultimate Diorite castle in Minecraft.
31 – Arendelle Castle
Here’s another “Disney build” for you to admire, inspired by the castle in the animated film, Frozen.
The home of Anna and Elsa is one more among these Minecraft castle ideas we’re presenting to you today.
It’s a perfect winter-themed structure that looks absolutely gorgeous from every angle, spires and all. This is another option on our list that’s made by TrixyBlox.
The east side of the Arendelle castle is where the main gates are located below a clock. In between two smaller doors, one on each side, these gates are connected via a bridge.
The doors are directly across from these gates and to the left and right of the gates are towers. This build also takes into account the rich interiors of the Arendelle castle.
32 – Dracula’s Castle
If you like being a spectator rather than an aspiring builder of gigantic and sprawling structures in Minecraft, check out Dracula’s castle, carved out by TrixyBlox.
It’s an insane creation that will really test your patience, should you decide to undertake something similar.

The video below is not a tutorial.
So you’ll have to figure out things for yourself in case you’re feeling inspired enough to build it.
I’m just happy to witness the building process – there’s something soothing about watching other people perform hard labor in Minecraft.
How Do I Make a Basic Castle In Minecraft?
To make a castle, you can choose any of the tutorials above. But to put it simply, the creation process can be divided into six main parts.
The first is to create as many towers as you want and the second is to erect the walls.
You can then focus on the interiors and the top floor before moving on to decorating the rooms.
Once all these five steps are done, the final step is to give the finishing touches to the exterior.
If you’d prefer to try making one without going into the trouble of erecting any scaffolding, then Creative would be your best option since you can fly in this mode.
If you’re planning to surround your build with a lava-filled moat, do remember to avoid using wood anywhere near it.
But otherwise, your creativity and personalization skills are the only limits. Scrounging for materials is not that difficult in even in desert biomes. Sand for sandstone walls and glass windows is available in plenty.
In summary, I hope these are enough Minecraft castle ideas to keep you busy for months to come.
Remember to choose some easy ones to get into the groove before you get down to making a really grand castle in your Minecraft world.

Напишем цикл for i in range(). В скобках укажем 2. Внутрь первого цикла добавим второй цикл for j in range.
